Overview

Mild At Heart revives an almost forgotten English beer style with Scandinavian flair. This 4% dark mild combines gentleness with character – not a watery session beer, but a compact flavour package in an approachable format.

Tasting Notes

The glass reveals a brown to dark brown beer with subtle cream-coloured foam. On the nose, roasted malt, gentle chocolate and a hint of caramel. On the palate, soft malt sweetness dominates with nuances of coffee, nuts and biscuit. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and light-bodied, the finish dry and refreshing despite the dark appearance.

Brewery

Stigbergets Bryggeri from Gothenburg has been known since 2012 for rediscovering and reinterpreting classic beer styles with a modern twist. The brewery evolved from a restaurant project into an influential player in the Scandinavian craft beer scene.

Serving

Serve at 8-10°C in a tumbler or nonic pint. Pairs excellently with roasted meats, nutty cheeses or chocolate desserts.
