Deca Vleteren Bruin 8°

Overview

A Belgian dubbel at 8% ABV that spent a year maturing on oak, with a small amount of port added during that time. The result is a dark brown beer in which oak and port clearly play a part.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect spicy biscuit that gives way to fruitier notes from the port and oak. The palate is full and malty, with subtle oak and red fruit alongside. At 25 IBU, bitterness stays restrained, leaving malt and fruit in the lead.
