Overview

From the abbey world-famous for their XII comes this lighter Trappist ale, brewed with the same dedication. A blonde beer proving that simplicity and class go hand in hand.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect soft, almost floral notes from Belgian yeast, followed by light grain character and a touch of honey. The palate stays refreshingly dry with subtle fruitiness – pear and apple – and a bitter finish that lingers just long enough. The mouthfeel is light and effervescent, with enough body to keep your attention.

Brewery

Brouwerij De Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren is one of only six remaining active Trappist breweries worldwide. The monks brew with respect for tradition and without commercial pressure – beer is sold directly at the abbey or through select retail.

Serving

Serve chilled (6-8°C) in a chalice glass. Excellent with goat cheese, light fish dishes, or as an aperitif.
